| Sears Roadtalker 40 SSB (mobile) This is a beautiful radio with woodgrain finish, and comes with a matching power supply for base use. This radio has been peaked and modified and operates on the entire 11 meter CB band and five channels into the 10 meter band (26.965 to 28.045 kHz). It's clarifier has a dedicated 15 Hz swing, offering not only ALL the channels but the ability to operate BETWEEN channels as well. Only $125 Midland 23 channel SSB (model 13-892 mobile) Manufactured in April 1976, this has been a very good radio. It has
been modified and reaches channels up to 27.565 (channel 56). It has a
switch on the side to operate on the channels above 23. Upper sideband on
some channels a bit weak. SBE Console II SSB 23 channel base station This is my favorite! It has been peaked and modified so that it's range
is 12 channels below CB channel 1 and up through most channels to channel
65 (26.815 to 27.655 kHz). (There is a small box mounted on the top for
access to the extra channels.) This radio really punches through, with
over 6 watts AM and about 20+ PEP SSB. Other operators report how clear
and beautiful it sounds. I use it for DXing and it reaches out everywhere.
I have talked with it from So. Africa & Europe to the West Coast, Hawaii
and Alaska and everywhere in between. Manufactured in the early 70's, it
